Discovery Week

This week, Jackson discovered that he loves to play with all balls-Golf balls, base balls, beach balls and especially basket balls. Instead of putting on the golf green, he used it as a basket ball court. Uncles James taught him how to dribble and shoot. While on a break from the court, he found a dirt pile and was shocked that it was on his hands. What does he do with anything that is in his hands--we eat it!

I'm the Next Tiger Woods

Uncle Chris gave Jackson our first set of golf clubs. Granddaddy Sam has been practicing with him on Jackson's very own private putting course. He seems to be picking up the sport very well. Greg wants to enroll him next Spring in Junior Golf--don't think that we are quite ready for that yet, Dad!

Jackson is walking!

Our little Jackson is finally walking. Well, almost running! He took his first few steps on this father's birthday (July 23). He is enjoying his new found freedom. We are not enjoying it so much! The walking has also intensified his curiosity about everything. He points and we respond with a word-Light, Picture, Painting, TV. This game can go on for hours!

Parents are away, so I will play...with my Grandparents

Greg and I went to the Bahamas for a much needed long weekend. While we were bathing in the hot Bahama sun, Su Su & Granddaddy Sam took Jackson to their beach house in Seagrove Beach, Florida. Jackson enjoyed eating the sand and riding the waves. A Big Thank you to his wonderful grandparents for taking such good care of him!

Happy Birthday Jackson!

On Saturday July 12th, we hosted Jackson's 1st Birthday Party at Su Su and Granddaddy Sam's house. We had a Barnyard Bash full of festive decor, food and even Farmer Jackson Sangria. Jackson enjoyed playing with all of his friends Philip, Lands, Dock, Walker, Cole, Hunter, Savannah and Ethan. He was not sure what to do with his cake, but with the guidance of the crowd, he was able to dig right in! The evening finally ended when the cows came home.
